The Body Donation at the KLE University Shri B.M.Kakakanwadi AYURVEDA MAHAVIDALAYA BELGUAM is committed to excellence in research and education. One of the aim of the department to promote body donation to make available enough teaching materials for the students undergoing learning Anatomy.

Cadaver dissection is the integral part of the curriculum of our institution. The anatomists in most of the medical institutions feel the shortage of cadavers for imparting training to medical students.  Hence, there is a strong need to popularize the message to common mass to donate their bodies after death which can be preserved by embalming technique and later can be used for teaching and research purposes. A person in his life can express his will in writing and can convince his next kith and kin that, after his death his body can be donated.

Donating the body is of the greatest anatomical gifts one can give to make after death. The need is great, and each gift is valued and honored. Our institution, principal, students and staff treat each donor with the utmost respect and dignity.

The experience and education gained through the use of human body is far superior to any learning provided by artificial substitutes and textbooks.

To set this target our own people viz senior freedom fighter and Retired Principal of this Institution Dr A.V. Gadag, and senior freedom fighter, Painless tooth extraction specialists and Dhanavantri gold medalist from Bailhongal Dr B.S. RAMANNAVAR have donated their bodies for this great & noble cause.

Inspired by the above eminent personalities people from various walk of life have come forward and registered their names to donate their bodies to our institution for the benefit of the students and science.
